My Favorite Places

These are a few of my favorite things. They are rather disordered... much like me, actually.

TED is my favorite, most-visited site of all times. There is never a time I visit TED when I do not click away inspired and refreshed and having learned something new.

Fotogrl Productions is the product of years of practice combined with a great eye for beauty in real life by Debra Gloria, photographer and videographer extrordinaire (also my friend. She's REALLY good at that!)

Womanars gives women a voice as well as a platform to speak from. I continue to be impressed by the level of authenticity and raw talent that comes from this group of women!

Brene Brown, Ph.D.
Dr. Brown's life work is researching and studying shame, fear, and vulnerability. She is who I listen to at work during the day, and who I am reading at home, and who I admire greatly for her choice to look at shame in the face and confront it - not only in her own life, but the lives of other people. Some of her videos can be found here: http://www.brenebrown.com/speaking

Story People
Imagine the world with artist & writer, Brian Andreas, who inspires me on a daily basis with his creations.

Leaping Greenly
The blog of my very best friend in the whole wide world, Angela Adams. She is, among other things, a doula, a writer, a corporate trainer, a master herbalist, and a mother to so many women who don't have a mother. I admire her with my whole heart.

The Julie Project
Every person should see this photography project highlighting 18 years of an experience with a woman and her children, destitute and diseased, in our own backyard. There is hope, we can change the world, but we must see it first.

The Dallas Women's Foundation
The Dallas Women’s Foundation strengthens the entire community by increasing the investment in women and girls and empowering women’s philanthropy.

The Nourish Collective
I sit on the board of this amazing organization! Need a way to get involved in your community? Check it out.

Welcome to My Brain
My hero, Christine Moers, super parent extraordinaire to some great kids, some of whom are adopted. A great resource on parenting and reactive attachment disorder.

The Green Ribbon Wife (because we all can't be trophy wives!)
This is the blog of my very talented friend, Miranda. She  is a poet and an artist and a writer. I think you'll enjoy!

There are about 500 other things I love passionately, so I will be updating this list as I have time!
