A tiger named Mystery

My daughter, who is 8, is passionate about all things animal-related. She wrote this story and emailed it to me yesterday. The pictures were included in her story. I love it, so I am posting it here... because isn't our relationship with God kind of like a tiger named Mystery?

Saving Tigers
found out by Bella

We humans have to help the animals. You see a lot of the people around the world adopt... they even adopt baby tigers! When we adopt animals, we save lives. This article is about saving tigers and how we can help them.

A long time ago the human being always killed tigers. One day a child named Lisa found a baby tiger. She thought it looked cute, so she took it home with her. When her parents saw it and how much she loved it they let it stay! But she had to take care of it: like feed it, or give it milk, and most of all keep it secret. She had an important job. But it got into a lot of trouble too. She wondered what would happen if somebody saw it? As that question was still unanswered, one day she ran out of food so her mom told her to go get some food. The tiger was so small that it went in her pocket, so she got her jacket on and went to find food. Lisa did not know that the tiger was in her pocket.  When she got home Lisa looked for the tiger. Finally she found it in her pocket!!!

((this is my favorite line:)) Lisa laughed and named it mystery.

One day when Lisa got home from school, Mystery had made a big mess and Lisa had to clean it up.  But before she could, her friend came in. His mouth was wide open when he saw Mystery! Lisa thought that her best friend was going to tell everyone. Then Lisa told her friend all about her finding Mystery.

Her friend did not tell his father, but told everyone else. Lisa pleaded ((what 8 year old uses the word "pleaded"?? My daughter is a genius)) not to tell, but her friend did. But none of them killed Mystery, even her friend's father. Then Lisa told them ALL about Mystery and nobody ever killed a tiger again. All thanks to Lisa!!

THE END.
