Fairport NY, would you please step forward??

I have a habit of obsessively reviewing my blog viewer history. 


Mostly because I want to know (without asking them) if someone has looked at the post today that may or may not have been controversial… and for which I may or may not have to later eat crow (or otherwise apologize). 


I’m interested to see regulars on my blog: Allen, TX = my friend Janie Oyakawa (whose blog I read regularly as well). Bedford, TX = either my mother in law or my friend Dawn. ((Or I might just be delusional in thinking either one of them read my blog)). Tiskilwa, IL = my BFF Angela. (Who ELSE lives in Tiskilwa, anyway!) 


So when I see people from Cairo or Budapest, I have a little fantasy in my head
about who they are and how they happened upon my blog, then I see the path that led them here:
“Casablanca arrived from google.com on "hope’s journey: Submission is not a dirty word" (my most popular post to date, by the way) by searching for find a submissive”


And, generally speaking, they read the post (or realize it’s not terribly interesting or well-written, and has nothing to do with BDSM) then they move along and never come back. Or if it’s a big city, they come back a lot, but it’s not necessarily the same person or the same keywords. 


But not Fairport, NY. Fairport NY is intentional. Fairport NY is my fan. I am pretty sure Fairport NY loves me AND thinks I'm hilarious and also inspirational (depending on the post). ((Fairport NY, If you don't love me and think I'm hilarious/inspirational/amazing, please don't destroy my fantasy! Let me down easy.))


Fairport NY is not even a town: it’s a VILLAGE, population 5,353. Despite the fact that it is known as the “Crown Jewel of the Erie Canal” and was named as one of Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live” in 2005, I had not heard of Fairport... I don’t think I know anyone in the whole of New York, much less Fairport. 


Yet, every day, many times several times a day (in fact, TEN TIMES in the past two days!!), Fairport, NY goes to my website. Not by searching, but by typing in www.jonikmartin.com. 


Therefore, ____________ (insert name here) of Fairport NY is the winner of my prestigious Most Frequent Blog Visitor prize, and a signed (ahem… by me, not the author) copy of one of my favorite religious books will be theirs, if they will just step forward and tell me who they are and how they found me! 
I’m begging you now. And begging is pathetic.
