What kind of world do you want?

Got a package full of Wishes, a Time machine, a Magic Wand, a Globe made out of Gold
No Instructions or Commandments,
Laws of Gravity or indecisions to uphold
Printed on the box I see "A.C.M.E.'s Build-a-World-to-be,"
Take a chance - Grab a piece, help me to believe it.

What kind of world do you want? Think Anything. Let's start at the start, build a masterpiece - Be careful what you wish for: history starts now...
Should there be people or peoples, money, funny pedestals for fools who never pay Raise your Army - Choose your Steeple; Don't be shy, the satellites can look the other way
Lose the Earthquakes - Keep the faults, fill the oceans without the salt Let every Man own his own Hand.
What kind of world do you want? Think Anything. Let's start at the start, build a masterpiece.
Be careful what you wish for: history starts now...
Sunlight's on the Bridge, Sunlight's on the Way, Tomorrow's Calling - There's more to this than Love
What Kind of world do you want? Think Anything. Let's start at the start, build a masterpiece. History Starts Now! Be careful what you wish for… start now.

This song has been rolling through my head for days, weeks, and months.
Begging me to hear it, begging me to answer the question: What kind of world do you want?
What kind of world do I want?
My answer has changed as I’ve grown older. As I’ve seen the world around me. As I’ve seen the beauty and the dark.
The world I want is peaceful.
The world I want can be seen in the eyes of children: innocent and curious, ready to learn from everyone who comes into their path
The world I want is one where people aren’t restrained by fear and prejudice, where they can connect with the Divine and live realizing the significance of their lives
The world I want is one where people are aware of their vast potential to change it.

The world I live in now is full of beauty. There is pain and there is suffering, and sometimes sadness overtakes me, but my wish is for love. For forgiveness. For peace and hope.
I want to start now. I want to be the change: show my children how to love living creatures and each other, exemplify compassion and forgiveness, react with calm and love.
I have a long way to go, God knows. I’m not as evolved as many people I know. I struggle with hurt feelings and petty fights. I get upset and bogged down in things that don’t matter.
But I want to be more, I want to be better, and the wishing is where the change starts. I will abandon caution in my wishing, and I will start now.
