Coming Soon to a Blog Near You...

I have a few more interviews to wrap up for the bloggy part of my Protestant Christian experience (as opposed to the book part - those interviews will continue for a while on ALL religions) and then, on Monday March 11, I'm on to Mormonism! I'm pretty excited about Mormonism because I have some fabulous women to interview and I'm even having a couple of guest post-ers who (I think) you'll find relevant and inspiring, not the least of which is Lindsey Parker Williams of Nuclear Family Meltdown, Emily of Lioness at the Gate, and a couple I'm saving for a surprise! (Oh, goody! I love surprises!)

I have been fascinated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) for as long as I can remember, including (but not limited to) my obsession with Big Love and Sister Wives
(although it must be noted that these shows do NOT portray mainstream LDS), my extended conversations with LDS missionaries who come to my door, and my ordering of a Book of Mormon after watching (and crying through) one of their heartstring-pulling commercials when I was 11. (My mom took it away from me and disposed of it. I didn't get a replacement until last year!)

In researching the LDS church, I went to their site http://www.mormon.org/, and WOW, they have a brilliant Marketing team. You can actually search for Mormons JUST LIKE YOU!  Age, Race, Background, location... and then you hear their testimony, and you think "Man! This person is just like me! Maybe I should be a Mormon!" (Ok, maybe thats just what I  thought when I watched it.)

Anyway, I'm excited about my Mormon segment! After Mormons, I'm going to touch briefly on some satellite Christian denominations such as Jehovah's Witness and Christian Science, and then move right into the roots of Christianity: Judaism.
